About Our Group

This Seattle counseling and therapy practice is comprised of three people who are mental health counselors and therapists sharing parallel heritages and journeys. Between us there are very few problems, traumas, spiritual existential crises, or relationship challenges that we have not faced.

We've worked through these challenges while maintaining long-term relationships and professional lives. Each therapist has extensive post-graduate clinical degree counseling work. We have come to realize and base our collective counseling and therapy philosophy upon the concept of the "wounded healer." We draw upon our own historical achievements, struggles and wounds as well as our professional education, as therapists and counselors, and integrate them into our work with clients.

Alliance Counseling Seattle
We offer you effective counseling that is far more than just passive listening. Our styles are interactive, and balance support through difficult experiences and emotions with challenge to stimulate growth and change. With deliberate reflection, we help you clarify what you value, establish your intentions for your life and take action.

Issue Areas we specialize in
• Life, relationship and career problems
• Problems from the past; family/religion of origin
• Mood and anxiety problems
• Getting past coping skills that don't work such as
  - addictions, food, overwork, TV/Internet
• Grief and starting over after loss
• Age and stage of life questions such as:
  - Who am I now?
  - What is my life's purpose?

One of the most important rights you have in counseling is that your private information is held in strict confidence. This is the reason that we are compliant with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPPA), which became effective April 14, 2003.
